Vehicle Fire

MFFD, March 26

At approximately 16:30 hours, crews were alerted to a reported vehicle fire at the 81000 block of I-85. Tanker 345 & Churchland 131 arrived on scene to find one passenger vehicle fully involved. Crews pulled a 1 3/4" line for fire attack, and was able to achieve a quick knock down. Tanker 645 arrived on scene and provided shielding for the fire attack crew. Engine 643 responded with a full company on the working fire upgrade. Engine 643 arrived on scene and was later released to cover GQFD district. Crews were able to achieve a quick knock down on the fire. Engine 643 was released from district coverage by command.... (Full Story & Photos)

M/A Structure Fire (East Spencer)

MFFD, March 05

Crews responded to a reported structure fire at 301 Grant Street. Initial crews arrived on scene with smoke showing from a single story residential structure. Crews pulled an attack line for extinguishment. Engine 343 arrived on scene and assisted with water supply and pulling an additional line for backup. Engine 643 & Brush 647 responded to assist Liberty VFD on a reported structure fire off of St Matthews Church Road. Liberty VFD along with other mutual aid departments arrived on scene to find a camper fully involved.
